GROWING PAINS
(Hali Hammer)

As a child I’d toss and turn, feel an ache inside me yearn
For my growin’ bones to catch up to my brains
When I asked my mother why, she said, “They might make you cry,
But don’t worry ‘bout them, they’re just growing pains.”

Growing Pains, Growing Pains
Every time, every time I make a change
Will it ever be arranged that I ever stay the same,
Or will my life be filled with Growing Pains?

Then my body was all grown, and I set out on my own
And I learned the world through slips and trips and gains
When I’d fall and I’d get hurt, I’d stand up and brush off the dirt
And I’d keep on going with those growing pains

Growing Pains, Growing Pains
Every time, every time I make a change
Will it ever be arranged that I ever stay the same,
Or will my life be filled with Growing Pains?

Well, they’re staring in again, I can feel them creeping in
To the daily way of life that still remains
Soon I’ll hear familiar strains and I’ll harmonize again
With the song of strong and longed-for Growing Pains

Growing Pains, Growing Pains
Every time, every time I make a change
Will it ever be arranged that I ever stay the same,
Or will my life be filled with Growing Pains?

Or will my life be filled with Growing Pains?
